Technical Officials

UKA Technical Officials

The LRAA Technical Officials' Secretary is responsible for organising officials for County events. Where possible help will be given for contacting officials for local club and schools events. The Secretary is also responsible for supporting the education and training of UKA Officials (Starters, Marksmen, Track Judges, Field Judges and Endurance Officials). The Secretary is Cherie D'Silva and she can be contacted by email on: knowlesdsilva1@btinternet.com or phone: 0116-2713661. The Secretary also attends the Regional Officials' Forum and this is an important meeting for disseminating issues and concerns about technical officiating to and from the County.

Please also visit the Events Page and the Disability Page - if you would like to officiate at any of these events then contact Cherie D'Silva for details.

A useful website for all officials is our Midlands professional association, MAFEO. See their website: www.mafeo.net

All officials must complete a Form 10 (F10) each year for the disciplines in which they officiate. It is useful for trainees to start doing this as soon as posible (even before they are qualfied). This must be sent to me by the end of September. You can download and save your own Form 10 by clicking here

The next courses (organised by England Athletics) are as follows and details of how to book can be obtained from their website:  http://www.englandathletics.org/east-midlands/officials/officials-courses/how-to-book/
