Leicestershire & Rutland Athletic Association Committee meetings (every 2 months)
2009 dates - they are all Mondays (with more details of venue & agenda to follow):
Feb 16th, March 16th - AGM, April 20th, June 15th, Aug 17th, Oct 19th, Dec 2nd?
The next meeting will take place on Monday 8th December 2008 in the Clubhouse at Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium at 7.30 p.m.
The last meeting was on October 20th. A summary of important issues will be included here as soon as they are available. Important dates or decisions are reported elsewhere through the website.
Unfortunately the minutes of the August meeting and the October Agenda were not available electronically to transfer directly to the website. However most of the issues reported in August have been included elsewhere in this website or involve dates which have already passed.
Some points which did not appear elsewhere and which are still relevant include:
- It was reported that the EMids England Athletics Region had agreed to continue to support the Livingston Relays and incorporate their Regional Championships in this meeting in future years.
- It was agreed that we should not revive the Battle of Britain & Jackson Trophy meetings at the present time because of reported developments of MCAA organising an event which would cover these age groups.
- It was agreed that the County should try to organise a "Saffron Lane Clubs Open Meeting" in conjunction with the clubs based at Saffron Lane. This would be on one or two Thursday evenings (& not clashing with weeks of Charnwood meetings). County T&F sub-committee to contact clubs for a joint effort. This would improve experience of meeting organisation, but most importantly would help to fulfill obligation to LCC to hold open meetings at the Track.
